THE SEAL (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the THE SEAL iOS app collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

THE SEAL is a premium identity-journey app for iOS (journey, daily rituals, The Seal, prestige standing, and certificate export). Contact: support@textwaves.org

2. Information we collect

• Profile data you provide — e.g. display name during onboarding (stored on your device; used on The Seal and certificate).
• Progress data — completed lessons, selected choices, ritual history, streaks, seal claim date, and standing (local on device).
• Purchase data — handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit to verify membership. We do not receive your full card number.
• Notifications — if you enable the optional daily reminder, iOS stores your permission and we store your preferred reminder time on device only.
• Device / diagnostics — limited technical data if needed for stability (e.g. app version, crashes).

3. How we use information

• Provide and unlock membership
• Save journey, ritual, and seal progress on your device
• Render your certificate with your name and standing
• Schedule an optional local daily reminder
• Restore purchases and verify entitlements
• Improve stability and fix bugs
• Comply with law and App Store rules

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run a social feed or public profile.

4. Subscriptions & payments

Purchases go through the Apple App Store. The app uses Apple StoreKit to check signed subscription and purchase status on your device. See Apple’s privacy policy for Apple’s processing.

5. Certificates & sharing

Certificate export (image/PDF) is generated on your device. If you share or print a certificate, that is under your control via the iOS share sheet. We do not upload certificates to our servers as part of normal use.

6. Storage & security

Progress, name, reminder preference, and related data are stored mainly on your device. We use reasonable measures to protect data we control. No system is 100% secure.

7. Sharing

We may share limited data with:

• Apple (App Store / StoreKit / system notifications)
• Service providers under confidentiality
• Authorities when required by law

8. Retention

Local progress stays on your device until you delete the app, clear data, or reset progress in Settings. Subscription records are kept as needed for billing and legal reasons.

9. Your choices

• Delete the app anytime
• Turn off or change the daily reminder in-app or in iOS Settings
• Manage/cancel subscription: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Reset local progress in the app Settings (membership is not affected)
• Contact us with privacy requests at the email above

10. Children

THE SEAL is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age where you live). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
