Who we are
TextWaves Inc (“TextWaves”, “we”, “us”) operates the TextWaves mobile application and the website textwaves.org. TextWaves provides curated quotes, wishes, and messages for everyday moments and special occasions. This policy explains what information we handle and how we use it.

Information we collect
TextWaves does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or contacts to use the app. The information handled falls into these categories:
- Content preferences on your device. Saved favorites, language choice, and notification settings are stored locally on your device.
- Device and usage data. Like most apps, basic technical data (device model, operating system version, general usage events, and crash reports) may be collected to keep the app working reliably.
- Advertising identifiers. Our advertising partner (see below) may collect your device's advertising identifier to show and measure ads, subject to the permission settings on your device.
Advertising
The free version of TextWaves shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers and ad-interaction data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. On iOS, ads are subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency: personalized ads only occur if you allow tracking, and you can change this anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
In-app purchases
Purchases in TextWaves are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card details. Refunds and billing are handled by Apple under their terms.
Notifications
If you enable daily messages, TextWaves sends you a local notification with a curated quote or greeting. Notifications are optional and can be turned off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
How we use information
- To operate the app and deliver its content in your chosen language
- To fix crashes, improve performance, and understand which features are used
- To show ads that fund the free version of the app
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for purposes unrelated to running TextWaves.
Sharing
Data is shared only with the service providers that make the app work — such as Google AdMob for advertising and Apple for purchases and app distribution — each under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Children
TextWaves is rated 9+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at admin@textwaves.org and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
Your favorites and settings live on your device and are removed when you delete the app. Technical and advertising data held by our service providers is retained according to their published policies. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the small amount of data involved.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of personalized advertising. You can exercise ad choices in your device settings, or contact us at admin@textwaves.org with any request — we respond to all reasonable requests within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use of TextWaves after a change means you accept the updated policy.
