This policy covers the Inner Climate iPhone app, its home screen widget, and its Apple Watch app, published by TextWaves.
Inner Climate is developed and published by TextWaves. For anything in this policy, contact support@textwaves.org.
Everything Inner Climate records is written to a private database inside the app's own container on your device, shared only with the app's own widget and watch app. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

If you grant permission, Inner Climate reads the following from Apple Health:
These are used for one purpose: producing your inner-weather reading, forecast, and personal baseline, computed entirely on your device.
Inner Climate never writes to Apple Health. The write permission set is empty.
Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, never shared with any third party, and never transmitted off your device. Granting Health access is entirely optional — the app works without it — and you can revoke it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Inner Climate.
If you write a safety plan, it is stored on your device with the same protection as everything else and is never transmitted. We cannot read it. Nobody but you and anyone with access to your unlocked phone can.
Because a safety plan may contain other people's names and phone numbers, please add only what you are comfortable keeping on your own device.
If you enable them, notifications are scheduled locally by your device — protective-hour alerts, the morning forecast, and the afternoon check on whether the forecast landed. No push server is involved and no notification content leaves your phone.
The crisis-resources screen offers a link to the International Association for Suicide Prevention (iasp.info) and the ability to dial a crisis line. Opening a link hands you over to Safari and that organisation's own privacy policy; dialling uses your phone's normal calling function. We are not told whether you did either.
Inner Climate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since no information is collected by us at all, nothing about a child would reach us.
Because your data exists only on your device, you have direct and complete control over it:
We have no user data to export, correct, or delete on your behalf, and no way to identify you. Requests under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA can still be sent to support@textwaves.org, and we will explain what applies to your situation. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
Your data is protected by iOS itself: app sandboxing and the device encryption tied to your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. Keeping a passcode enabled and your device updated is the most meaningful thing you can do to protect it. Note that if you use encrypted iPhone backups, app data may be included in those backups under Apple's terms.
Inner Climate is a self-awareness instrument. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, it is not a medical device, and it does not replace a clinician or a crisis service.
If you are in danger, please get human help. In the US and Canada, call or text 988. In the UK, Samaritans is 116 123. Internationally, iasp.info lists local lines.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Any change that would involve data leaving your device would be a substantial change, and would be announced in the app before it took effect — never applied silently to data you have already recorded.
